About this tune
Hot Cross Buns is a traditional nursery song built around the call of a seller advertising buns. The words turn an everyday street cry into a short, memorable song.
Just three pitches form the familiar melody. Descending phrases alternate with repeated notes, creating a strong contrast from very little musical material.
